Day 4 -- Bali, Indonesia

6/12/2023 Monday

Itinerary:

  • Rtiz Carlton-Bali Hotel
  • Grand Hyatt Bali Hotel

The next day, we woke up early due to jet lag and just watched some TV to pass time till breakfast time. We went to the restaurant for breakfast and it was already pretty packed. The food selection was amazing and service was astounding.

After a fulfilling breakfast, we went to explore the hotel and took some pictures.

After walking around the hotel, we went back to our rooms and rested before going to the famous chapel and fish pond to take more pictures.

After that, we went to the pool and have lunch at the restaurant next door. We then spent some time in our room chilling as the outside temperature was pretty hot.

We checked out of the hotel around 4 pm to move to our next hotel, Grand Hyatt Bali as it was unavailable yesterday. The beach at Grand Hyatt Bali was supposed to be one of the best beaches in Bali. We had booked 2 suites at the hotels and each suite was huge and included lounge access so that we can have breakfast and happy hour there.

Day 3 -- Bali, Indonesia

6/11/2023 Sunday

Itinerary:

  • Bali Airport (DPS)
  • Ritz Carlton-Bali Hotel

We arrived at the DPS airport in the late afternoon and there was a huge line at the custom. Although I have been to Indonesia when I was young, this is my first time to Bali. There was also an area where you can apply for the arrival on visa but luckily, we had already applied for the visa before we left, so we can skip this. There was many lines open but it was very slow and it took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to the officer and he asked us some questions before letting us pass. After the custom, we went to pick up our luggages and had to go through another process where we had to show the QR code of our declaration form that we filled out previously before we can leave the airport.

Once we were outside of the airport, we tried looking for our driver from the hotel and there were more than 100 people outside holding signs with names. We slowly went through all the people and finally saw the Ritz Carlton sign. The person came to take our luggages and showed us to the parking where a hotel car was waiting for us.

Once we get on the car, he passed us some nice cold towels and chocolates. The drive to the hotel was about 35 minutes. Once we reached the hotel, we had to go through a metal detector. It's one of the few hotesl that I have stayed that has a metal detector. The receptionist came to welcome us and check us in. Once the check in process is completed, she lead us to our rooms as we have to have 2 rooms for 4 people. It was already dark, so we couldn't see much of the hotel.

We were so tired by then, so we just ordered some room service before turning in for the night. I stayed with Maddie while the boys stayed at the room next to us.
