Day 6 - San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico

01/05/2018 Friday

Itinerary:
  • Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
  • Go home

Today is our last day here and after our breakfast, we went swimming and had a late lunch since our flight was in the late afternoon. The weather was prefect, not too hot nor cold. It wasn't humid either. I think the best time to visit Mexico is around this time as it was very hot and humid when we last visited Cancun in June 2015.

There was a grill station set up by the pools, so we ate there.

After lunch, the kids wanted to play some games, so we went to get some coffee while they played.

After the games, we headed back to our room to get ready for our shuttle to the airport.

After a short 3 hour flight, we were back to our home airport. It started raining after we landed and was much colder than Cabo.

Overall, we had a good relaxing trip. There wasn't as much activities to do in Cabo compared to Cancun and the ocean isn't as pretty as Cancun. The only good thing is that we had a short flight and there was a direct flight from our home airport.

Day 3 - San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico

01/02/2018 Tuesday

Itinerary:
  • ATV with Cactus Tour

We had a quick breakfast at the buffet restaurant so that we can be on time for our ATV tour.

We had booked an ATV tour for 4 people with Cactus Tour for a beach and dessert tour. The shuttle came on time to pick us up at the hotel. After almost 40 minutes ride, we reached our destination which is a dessert in Migrino area. Once we reached there, we check in at the counter and had to pay an entrance fee ($15/person) and ATV collision insurance fees. The collision insurance fees was optional but Anthony wanted to buy it for peace of mind, so we paid an extra $45 for it. We also had to buy Bandanas for $5/each since they only offered used ones for free.

After paying all our fees, we were asked to take some pictures with the birds inside and wait for the rest of the group. Soon, all the people in the tour were there, so our 2 tour guides gave us some safety talk before we start our tour.

After about 2 hours of riding, the tour was complete and I can't wait to go back. As I get older, I think my motion sickness has gotten worse. However, the boys enjoyed the ride and wanted to go again.

Anthony did some tequila tasting while we waited for the shuttle. After another 40 minutes ride, we were dropped off at our hotel and went straight to the buffet restaurant for lunch.

They had the ramen section which Maddie loves. After lunch, we went for coffee while the kids played their games.

We relaxed by the lobby for a couple of hours before heading for dinner at El Cortijo which specialized in Spanish Tapas.

After dinner, Anthony went for a tequila tasting at the El Agave. We went with him although I didn't try since Tequila is not my kind of liquor. I heard that they offer free tasting each evening but reservations are needed.

After the tasting, we went back to our room and felt a little hungry, so we decided to call room service which had a very limited menu.
