Maldives Day 3

 07/14/2021 Wednesday

This is another morning where we woke up early. Anthony went to the gym for some workout while I sat on the swing to try to capture some nice sunrise.

Tried to capture some sunrise pictures this morning but there was lots of clouds. July is their monsoon season, so not a good month to come but I am just glad that there was no rain (except a 5 minute session one morning) during our time here.

After Anthony got back from the gym, we called for a buggy to Tasting Table for our daily breakfast. When we reached the restaurant, they showed us to the same table we had yesterday.

The breakfast selection is really great and there are lots of tropical fruits which I missed and is super expensive in United States.

After breakfast, we went to the shop to buy some aloe vera gel for Mason as he has sunburn all over his body from being outdoor the entire day yesterday.

The person who worked there showed us 3 different kind of aloe vera and recommended the gel version, which we bought. Everything here is very expensive, about 4 times more than what we pay in United States. This gel cost $38.

When we went back to our room, we put the gel in the fridge so that it gets cold before we apply it on Mason. After taking a little break, we went on our bikes to check out the over water bungalows.

On the way there, we stopped by the wedding pavilion where we saw a couple getting married there on our first day here. It's so beautiful there and we saw lots of fishes there.

After leaving the wedding pavilion, we rode to the diving center and stopped there. On the bridge, we saw a school of fishes and also baby reef sharks chasing the fishes. It was a unique experience to see this.

In the background of the picture below is the private island that you can only access by boat.

Afterwards, we went back to the diving center where we went snorkeling with the baby reef sharks.

After snorkeling for a while, we went back to our room to take a rest before heading to the Japanese restaurant Shimizu for some sushi and noodles. The food wasn't that great. All the dinner restaurants need reservation and each day, our butler would ask us where we like to eat and make the reservation for us.
