Today, we took a taxi from our hotel to downtown to explore.
It was a pretty short drive for a fixed rate. The taxi driver dropped us off near the cruise ship.
There were conchs laying on the ground which was for sale.
We walked to the Straw Market to check it out. It is similar to the Bahama Crafts Center near our hotel where they sell hand-made products.
We saw Little Switzerland and Diamonds International stores and it brought back fond memories about us in St. Thomas for our honeymoon. They also have the same stores there.
Then, we walked around to check out different stores before settling for lunch.
My favorite flip flop store. Their flip flops are really comfortable.
We picked a random restaurant and it was pretty good. They also offered free Wi-Fi so we could catch up on emails and facebook while waiting for our meal.
Coming to the Caribbeans, we have to try their conch dishes. This is their conch salad which has a tangy taste and I love it.
After lunch, we walked around more before taking the taxi back to the hotel. To be honest, there isn't much to do there. The kids wanted to go to the pools, so we quickly changed and took them to the pools.
After that, we went for dinner at Nobu, which is in another post. I have reserved the dinner when we arrived.
After dinner, we walked around the beach.
