Since we couldn't swim in the pools yesterday due to a tight schedule, I promised the kids that we would spend some time swimming in the pools in the morning. We bought some pastries in the cafe inside the hotel for breakfast and spent our morning in the pools.
After that, we went to the nearby Kaanapali beach as it was voted one of the best beaches in Maui.
After the beach, it was time to go to the Maui Ocean Center and we had a quick lunch inside the aquarium before touring the place.
It was a pretty hot day, so we had some nice cold drinks before ending the tour and heading back to the hotel.
Initially, I had planned to go to Wailea beach after this but the kids wanted to go back swimming, so we decided to head back to the hotel. On the way back, we stopped by Old Town Lahaina to check it out and buy some fruits at Foodland which is one of the grocery stores in Hawaii. I bought some Lychee which is one of my favorite fruits. It was really big, juicy and sweet.
I also stopped by a small shop right across Foodland called Nagasako Okazu-Ya Deli as my dear Yelp told me that it was highly rated at 4 stars. I bought some fried chicken legs and chicken cutlet as snacks.
After we reached our room, I ate some of the food and although the food was cold, it was really good. I wished that I had bought more.
Next, we went to have some famous Ululani's Hawaiian shave ice inside the hotel. This is one of the best shave ice that we have had as the ice is very soft like snow and are well flavored.
The kids finished their shave ice and continued swimming while I walked around to check out the hotel premises.
Later in the evening, we decided to head out to Old Town Lahaina for dinner.
We went to Lahaina Luna Cafe which was highly rated in Yelp as well.
We ordered the garlic fries which was a bit too salty to our taste. Also, the Mahi Mahi tacos and combination tacos. The kids had the chicken katsu.
After dinner, we walked around the Front street and went to a few different stores before calling it a day.
