We had the tour scheduled early this morning since we were checking out today. So, we woke up early to have breakfast. It was dark last night when we had dinner, so we couldn't see the nice view. This morning, we were seated by the windows, so we could see the nice ocean while eating.
After a good breakfast, we went to the lobby to wait for our driver.
The driver arrived on time and we were surprised that we were the only customers he had for the trip, so it's like a private tour.
First, he took us to see some of the animals that they raise here in Kenting.
Then, he drove us along the coastal highway so that we can see the gorgeous ocean.
The rock in the pictures below is the "Sail Rock" (aka Chuanfanshih). It is a famous landmark in Kenting. Almost everyone that comes to Kenting takes a picture with the rock. From a distance, it looks like a sailing ship and on closer look, it looks like the face of President Nixon. So, it is also known as Nixon's head. The rock is made up of coral reefs and is much harder than the other coral reefs, thus able to withstand the wind and rain.
Then, we went to Longpan Park where there were a lot of coral reefs.
First, we went to the grocery place which is usually in the basement.
After that, we walk around the shops.
They have kids workshops where kids can take part in different activities for a fee.
After window shopping, we took the high speed rail to head home. On the way home, we stopped by the store to buy some food for my grandma. This store has been opened since my parents were a kid and I have eaten there every time I go back to Taiwan. They have been on the news as well.
My lovely niece waiting for us. My parents come from a big family of 5 siblings each and most of my cousins are married with kids. I am the youngest in my mom's side of the family and also closest to her side. So, I have many nieces and nephews.
Then, we went home to wait for my cousin to come. We will be eating with some of my cousins and their families.
