We plan a trip to San Diego since we went to Los Angeles last year. We wanted a relaxing drive, so woke up late in the morning before starting the drive.
It took us more than 6 hours to reach San Diego by car. We bought the San Diego 3 for 1 pass from Costco. It included 7 days unlimited admission to Seaworld San Deigo, San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park. If I remember correctly, the pass was the price of Seaworld + San Diego Zoo, so basically we are getting free admission to the Safari Park.
I have been to Seaworld and the zoo but it's the kids' first time to San Diego.
So, on the first day here, without checking into the hotel, we went directly to San Diego Zoo. It was already dark when we went there. We went to the counter to get our tickets.
Then, the kids went to get the maps. They love reading the map especially Mason. He can read them pretty well.
After visiting the reptile section, we went straight to queue up for the cable car. We wanted to visit the pandas.
Unfortunately, the pandas were not available at night, so we went and visit the other animals.

It is Koala bear. He is so cute.
The last time the kids saw Koala bears, it was in the Taipei zoo in Taiwan.
Since it was dark, there wasn't many animals that we could visit. So, we took some pictures before leaving.
