Day 6 -- Las Vegas, Nevada

12/28/2015 Monday

Today's morning agenda is to visit the Ethel M Chocolate Factory. It's a close drive to our hotel and we saw how the chocolate was made and packaged.

The worker cutting the large sheet of chocolate with a roller into small pieces of chocolate.

The workers in the background packaging the chocolates into boxes.

We also had a sample after the self guided tour. The chocolate here are preservative free.

They sell many different varieties of chocolates and you can pick and mix them.

They also sell pre-packaged boxes of chocolates which is a great idea for gifts.

The cactus in the store is made up of chocolate and they have a cactus garden outside of the store.

We spent some time enjoying the cactus garden where there is a variety of cactus.

As it was approaching lunch time, we decided to venture to Chinatown for food.

We also shopped around the grocery store there. I love shopping at local grocery stores as sometimes, I get to buy local food which I haven't had before.

After lunch, we went back to Las Vegas Boulevard and started our bus journey to The Delano and Mandalay hotel. We wanted to check out the south side of the strip as we went to the North side yesterday. We also wanted to check out the beach and lazy river at the Mandalay hotel. Unfortunately, it was not opened during winter time.

We then took the tram to Luxor and explored the hotel a little bit.

There was a display of Titanic ship model inside the hotel.

After Luxor, we went to Excalibur to check out the hotel.

After Excalibur, we wanted to go to MGM to see the white tigers as I have seen them on my last trip. We didn't find the white tigers and when I asked the people that worked there, they told me that they no longer have the white tigers. The only white tigers in the strip was at The Mirage hotel.

On the way, we passed by the Hershey's Chocolate store. They even have a Statue of Liberty made of chocolate inside the store.

After the long walk around the different hotels, the kids were tired from walking. We decided to give them a little yogurt treat.

After the treat, we decided to go to the ice skating rink at the hotel. Mason had lots of fun skating while Maddie was playing pool with her daddy.

It was really cold that night and we were all freezing towards the end as it was outdoor skating rink. Mason didn't want to go back to the room but we had to as it was just too cold and it was getting late.
