According to Grand Hyatt Kauai's website, there are 602 guestrooms with private balcony/lanai. There are complimentary daily activities and classes. In addition, there is also Camp Hyatt for kids age 3 to 12 years old with a fee.
There is also a golf course on site which faces the ocean and many restaurants on site as well. The hotel offers their own luau every Thursday and Sunday.
Comparing this hotel to St. Regis Princeville, this resort has more things to do and is much bigger. The kids like the different pools they have especially the slide and lazy river which St. Regis didn't have. This hotel is also cheaper compared to St. Regis but does not give you an intimate feeling like St. Regis as there are not many people staying at St. Regis. Another good thing about St. Regis is that their beach have calm waves, so we can go and snorkel.

As with other hotels, this hotel also charges a resort fee which is $31.25.
Resort fees include:
1. 2 bottles of water
2. fitness classes
3. access to the 24 hour gym
4. wi-fi
5. self laundry with detergent provided
6. self parking
7. daily activies such as feeding the koi fishes, parrot show, etc
8. use of the multiple pools, water basketball, water volleyball and water soccer
9. filtered water
10. many more that are shown in the picture below
The resort is really big, so I would suggest that you request for a room near the pool if you have kids that like to be in the pools all day long. They have a nice water slide that we went multiple times, we also played water basketball and of course the hot tub.

More pictures on the beach. As you can see, the waves are huge and there is also a red flag to warn people that it is not recommended to swim in the beach.
