Day 8 -- Koh Samui, Thailand

12/30/2018 Sunday

Itinerary:
  • Breakfast at Zest
  • Lamai Fresh Food Market
  • Lamai Beach
  • Tesco Lotus Mall
  • Hotel
We went to breakfast and had our usual. The breakfast at Zest is really good and I love it that we can order Thai ice tea every time. However, after eating there for several days, it does get a little old and I wish the menu would change a bit more.

The chefs hard at work making our tasty breakfast.

After breakfast, as usual, the kids jumped right into the pool once we reached our room.

After playing in the pool for a while, we got ready to go to the lobby and take the shuttle to Lamai Beach.

Lamai beach is closer to the hotel than Chaweng Beach so it probably only took about 30 minutes to get there. Once the driver drops us off, we went to Lamai Fresh Food Market to check it out before heading to Lamai Beach. There was not much stuff going on in Lamai Fresh Food Market, so we checked it out quickly.

On the way to Lamai Beach, we past by many stalls.

It was about 10 minutes walk before we reached Lamai Beach.

Then we left as it started drizzling, so we walked quickly back to a Tesco Lotus mall to take shelter. We were very lucky as it started pouring once we reached the mall.

We walked around and found a massage place to have an hour of Thai massage.

First, they will ask you to change into their clothes. Then, you will lay on one of the beds where a masseur will come and ask you some questions on how strong do you like your massage, etc.

After my massage, we decided to have some lunch at the foodcourt.

After lunch, we shopped at the supermarket and bought some more snacks. Finally, it was time to meet our driver, so we bought our dinner from the foodcourt to have it at our hotel. It stopped raining when we left.

Soon, we reached the hotel and stayed at the lobby for a while to admire the beautiful views. I would say the lobby of the hotel is one of the best lobbies I have been to as it has an amazing view.

Since it was still early, so we decided to head to the beach for kayaking. On the way there, we passed by the common pool, so decided to take some picture as we don't normally go there since we have our own private pool.

We ended the night with swimming at our own infinity pool while watching the sunset.
