Itinerary:
- Breakfast at Pool Terrace Restaurant
- Day Tour at Whitsunday Islands
- Dinner at Marina
After breakfast, we went to the Marina to take the cruise to Whitehaven Beach with Hill Inlet Walk. There are many different tours to Whitehaven Beach but you want to make sure to take the full day tour which include the Hill Inlet Walk as this is the place where it has been named as one of the best beaches in Australia.
We got on the cruise and it was about 45 minutes ride. The waves were pretty strong and I wasn't feeling well even with the seasick patch on me. Finally, we arrived at Whitehaven Beach which is in the Whitsunday Islands. The ferry is not allowed to dock at the beach, so we had to take a small boat to get to the beach. First, we had the fish feeding activity and a lot of fishes came.
The groups were divided into smaller groups to go to Hill Inlet at different times as we have to take a smaller boat to reach Hill Inlet. In order to get to the most beautiful beach, we had to take another boat ride for ~20 minutes or so.
After visiting the beach, we took the boat ride back to Whitehaven beach for lunch and activities. Later in the afternoon, we went for a short hike to Solway Circuit before heading back.
We had a quick dinner at the Marina before heading back to the hotel to rest as we have a flight tomorrow to Cairns.
